Keeping Your Game Simple
Author: Alex McLachlan
In recent times young rugby teams have begun to complicate
their game. Many professional rugby players have advised coaches of young rugby
teams to simplify the structure of their game and focus on teaching the players
to perfect the basics. After watching the professional players, many young
players want to try to use all the moves they see them use, this can lead to
confusion in the young players whilst playing. It could also lead to the
players growing up without a proper understanding of the basics of the game.
This is why the best teams in grass roots rugby use simple drills to train
their skills.
